Update call

Change metadata, dynamic variables or the data storage setting of a call.

PATCHhttps://api.tried.com.au/v2/update-call/{call_id}

Updates a stored call. Use it after a call ends to attach your own IDs or outcomes, or to reduce what is kept. For a call that is still running, use Update live call, which also reaches the agent.

`metadata`	object	No	Merged over the existing metadata (top-level keys replace).
`override_dynamic_variables`	object	No	Merged over `retell_llm_dynamic_variables`. Non-string values are stored as JSON strings.
`data_storage_setting`	string	No	`everything`, `everything_except_pii` or `basic_attributes_only`. On an ended call, anything other than `everything` is applied right away (PII scrubbing or transcript and recording removal).

200 OK with the updated call object.

Errors#

Status	When
`400`	Validation failed.
`401`	Missing or invalid API key.
`403`	The key's IP allowlist or scopes reject the request. This route needs the `admin` scope.
`404`	No call with this ID in the workspace.
`429`	Rate limit exceeded. See Rate limits.

Compatibility notes#

metadata and override_dynamic_variables merge into the stored objects instead of replacing them.
